Many youth want to take action to help make the world a better place, but they don’t know where to start.
That’s why we built Etherea. To create an accessible, engaging and all-in-one platform to help youth transform their lives and tackle world issues.
The Barriers
After a decade in the humanitarian space and working with thousands of youth globally, we’ve noticed that countless young people feel the drive to create change but are held back by various barriers:
They don’t have much money to donate
They don’t have time to volunteer or are more focused on their personal lives
They are uneducated on these issues or their extremity
They feel powerless, like their actions won’t make a big enough difference
To better understand these barriers, we partnered with researchers to explore them in depth and discover how psychology and technology could help overcome them. From that collaboration, Etherea was born!
OUR PLATFORM
Etherea is an innovative education platform for youth ages 15–30, fusing emerging tech (AI, AR, and gamification), psychology, and cutting-edge research from leaders around the world, to drive personal growth and global change.
Centered around six personal development themes and ten global issue areas—from mental health and financial freedom to climate action and gender equality—Etherea offers immersive, mission-based learning through animated/AR worlds, global challenges, volunteer opportunities, and access to curated resources. Users can earn points, win prizes, attend events with world leaders, shop from ethical small businesses run by marginalized communities and more!

Etherea’s mission is to unite the voices of global activists and scholars to build accessible, engaging, and a globally-informed educational and action-based platform. Our Ambassador Program is at the heart of this mission, ensuring young changemakers are not just contributors but co-creators.

OUR NEXT STEPS
We aim for Etherea to be accessible to all youth via Android and IOS app stores, and for global implementation in schools, with pilot programs in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Thailand, the Bahamas, Canada, the US and Ghana.
