Luca Berardi

FOUNDER OF Y.A.R.H (YOUNG ANIMAL RESCUE HEROES)

Luca Berardi is a singer-songwriter, conservationist, and author who uses his passion for the arts and wildlife to fuel his projects. He is half-Italian and half-Kenyan, has lived in 6 different countries and across 3 continents.

At 8, he created a small organisation called Y.A.R.H (Young Animal Rescue Heroes) to create awareness about endangered wildlife and environmental conservation. He is passionate about biodiversity, working with local communities to create solutions that strike a balance between people’s needs and the sovereignty of nature, as well as human rights, social prosperity, justice and how that intersects with the natural world.

Luca has released multiple original songs centering activism including “Money Can” which officially launched live at the 2014 High-level Stakeholders and Youth Meeting at the UN. He co-hosted children’s programs on Kenyan national television and is the author of The Breakout: The Adventures of the Loris Brothers, a book series following two brothers on their quest to save endangered species and combat poaching. He has spoken at international forums, delivered a TEDx youth talk, and served as a jury member for the Children’s Climate Prize.

He is the recipient of several awards including WWF Sweden’s Environmental Hero of the Year and the Young Eco Hero Award from Action for Nature. Luca was also honored by U.S. President Barack Obama with a personal letter recognizing his efforts in conservation and youth empowerment. At heart, Luca is a storyteller, hoping to inspire other young people through his songs, his fictional worlds and stories.

Brittany Bloomer

FOUNDER OF POUND PAWS

Brittany Bloomer is an Australian animal welfare advocate, digital founder, and the visionary behind Pound Pawsa national charity transforming pet adoption through modern technology and community connection, with a following of over 100k people. Based in Sydney, Brittany launched Pound Paws to address the high euthanasia rates in Australian pounds by offering a compassionate, innovative solution: a central rescue directory, interactive adoption events, and education campaigns that spotlight rescue pets as valuable family members.

Through her leadership, Pound Paws has grown into a trusted voice in animal advocacy, with nationwide adoption days helping connect hundreds of rescue pets with loving families, school visits, and therapy dog programs bringing awareness and healing to diverse communities. Brittany is also a frequent media spokesperson and content creator, using storytelling to change how people view pet adoption and ethical pet ownership. Her work has been featured on prominent media outlets like The Today Show, The Morning Show, and Sunrise, where she has highlighted the importance of adoption. As a 2025 Etherea Ambassador for Animal Welfare, Brittany is excited to bring her expertise to a global audience — advocating for no-kill shelter policies, building cross-theme collaborations around pets as therapy, and embedding animal welfare education into youth spaces. With a passion for compassionate leadership and community-driven change, Brittany is committed to empowering the next generation to create a kinder world for animals and people alike.

Constantine Aporu

FOUNDER OF POUND PAWS

Constatine Aporu is a Vegan activist and the Founder of Eco Space Foundation Uganda. He’s passionate about climate justice, equality, sustainable living and animal justice. Constatine holds a degree of Arts In Social Sciences from Makerere University, where he served as Guild Academic Affairs Minister and Guild Representative Councilor from 2015 to 2016. He’s also a One Health and Central Africa fellow for the year 2016. 

With over 7 years of leading teams and organizations, Constatine has inspired thousands of people to embrace veganism and sustainable living. He has spoken to over 70,000 students in 100 schools about animal rights and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He has also distributed over 10,000 free plant based meals to the needy and planted more than 5000 fruit trees to mitigate climate change and increase access to plant based foods in schools and local communities for the past years. Constatine has been featured on Vegan Nation FM Massachusetts, Radio Vegan South America and multiple platforms to inspire others to live a sustainable life. He’s currently the National Animal Rights Day organizer, Anonymous For The Voiceless Organizer, Plant-Based Treaty Campaigner, Africa Vegan Age Coordinator and Kampala Animal Save Organizer of Uganda. Constatine continues to implement Vegan Education Programs, Vegan Feeding Programs, Animal rights advocacy, Plant-based education and Fruit tree planting in schools and local communities to inspire sustainable living.

Vikki Lenola

Producer/ Director of The Vegan Fashion Show

Vikki Lenola is a model, activist, publicist, and legacy verified influencer known for championing vegan and sustainable fashion. She is the Producer/ Director of The Vegan Fashion Show, a nonprofit event held across Canada that merges education with style to promote cruelty-free innovation in fashion. Their 2022 and 2023 events donated all proceeds to Animal Justice, the organization leading the legal fight for animal protection in Canada. Since then, the show has been held in partnership with some of Canada’s largest events nationwide such as Planted Expo, VegTO, and the National Women’s Show. As the Founder and Head Publicist of Lenola PR, she shines the spotlight on talent, entrepreneurs, changemakers, and vegan eco-fashion brands in the media. Vikki Lenola holds a degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, a Business Diploma, and enjoyed completing an Effective Altruism fellowship with a focus on animal advocacy. Her longstanding dedication to animal rights includes extensive volunteer work and regular speaking engagements. Her advocacy has been featured in countless media including top-tier outlets such as Forbes, Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Fashion Week Online, Yahoo, Okay Magazine, and more. Through her platforms, Vikki Lenola continues to spotlight sustainable, innovative, and compassionate alternatives in fashion.

Leah Kelly

Specialist at the Center for Biological Diversity

Leah Kelly is currently a food and agriculture policy specialist at the Center for Biological Diversity, an environmental nonprofit, where she works to build a more just and sustainable agrifood system in the U.S. She has a master’s degree in public policy and administration from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree from Pitzer College. She has been an animal activist for most of her life, starting with the founding and leading of her high school’s animal rights club. She has previously interned and worked for a variety of animal advocacy organizations, including Mercy For Animals, the Good Food Institute, and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, and has volunteered for many others, such as Faunalytics and Apex Advocacy. She currently resides in Los Angeles.

Erfan Firouzi

Author of The Year Earth Changed

Erfan Firouzi is a first-year Bachelor of Science student at Monash University, with a distinguished profile in environmental science and biodiversity conservation. Recognized globally for his commitment to preserving our planet, Firouzi has already made substantial contributions to the field, including the publication of his acclaimed research book, The Year Earth Changed. His leadership in global educational and advocacy efforts reflects his dedication to addressing complex ecological challenges and promoting sustainable practices. A prominent figure in international environmental forums, Firouzi has participated in high-impact events such as COP28, COP16, TEDx, and COY18. Firouzi has led impactful initiatives, partnering with international organisations advocating for the preservation of ecosystems and raising awareness around critical environmental issues. His work in citizen science, member of IUCN as a youth professional, and strategic environmental education campaigns amplify his message, ensuring that complex scientific concepts are made accessible and engaging to diverse audiences. Firouzi has earned several accolades, including Storyteller of the Year, global recognition award, Environmental Leadership Award, Junior Eco Champion, for COP28, and a finalist spot in the Chegg.org Global Student Award, underscoring his ability to inspire meaningful global action.

Francisca Kasuku

Advocate for animal welfare

Francisca Kasuku is a dedicated advocate for animal welfare and sustainable coexistence between communities and wildlife. Her passion for animals evolved into a professional mission to address human-wildlife conflict, habitat loss, and ethical treatment of animals. She collaborates with conservation groups, government agencies, and grassroots organizations to develop programs that balance ecological preservation with socio-economic growth. Through roles in education, advocacy, and fieldwork, Francisca encourages community-led solutions—from anti-poaching efforts to wildlife-friendly farming practices. Her ability to bridge gaps between stakeholders has earned her recognition as a trusted voice in the field. Beyond her professional achievements, Francisca is a passionate educator, frequently speaking at workshops and schools to inspire the next generation of conservationists. She emphasizes that animal welfare is intrinsically linked to human well-being, advocating for policies that protect both. Named to the EE30 Under 30 global class of 2021 and a finalist for the People of Nature “Environmental Educator of the Year,” Francisca continues to champion conservation through education, advocacy, and community-driven programming that supports both people and the planet.

Camila Perussi

Sinergia Animal Campaigner

Camila Perussi is a results-oriented campaigner with over five years of experience advancing animal protection, sustainable food systems, and climate action. Based in São Paulo, Brazil, she works at Sinergia Animal, an international nonprofit organization committed to reducing the suffering of farmed animals and promoting more ethical and sustainable food choices in the Global South. She has extensive experience coordinating global campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and coalition building, leveraging interdisciplinary research to challenge harmful industrial agriculture practices. Her work focuses on exposing the impact of factory farming, advocating for plant-based alternatives, and pushing for systemic change through public engagement, policy reform, and cross-sector collaboration.

Camila has been actively engaged in major international advocacy spaces, including COP27 and CBD COP16, where she worked to advance discussions on the environmental and climate implications of industrial livestock production. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences with a specialization in marine biology, combining scientific research with campaign strategies to drive impactful solutions for biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and food system transformation. Passionate about driving systemic change, Camila ensures that biodiversity, climate resilience, and justice remain at the forefront of global sustainability efforts. As an Etherea Ambassador, she is committed to amplifying the urgency of protecting animals and the planet, fostering global awareness, and empowering youth to take meaningful action for a more compassionate world.

Stuart Evans

Stuart Evans is a TEDx speaker, environmental philosopher, and critical animal studies theorist dedicated to bridging academia and activism. He is the Founder and Director of the Environmental Alliance Project (EAP) CIC and Animal Alliance Project (AAP) CIC—initiatives addressing gaps in grassroots environmental and animal liberation movements through public education, community collaboration, and systems change. Stuart has coordinated workshops, conferences, and campaigns across the UK, advancing moral frameworks on climate, capitalism, and speciesism.

He currently teaches Religion and Philosophy at Roedean School and has taught at Winchester College, where he guided students in examining global ethical questions through diverse philosophical lenses. As a Project Coordinator at the University of Winchester’s Centre for Climate Change Action & Education, he helped develop interdisciplinary environmental education strategies. Stuart’s work also includes research contributions as a freelance writer with Vegan FTA and membership with the European Association for Critical Animal Studies (EACAS), aligning his scholarship with anti-oppression and vegan justice frameworks.

Jamie Logans

Animal rights activist, Filmmaker, and Media personality

Jamie Logan is an animal rights activist, filmmaker, and media personality based in NYC. She is best known for her podcast and YouTube show Jamie’s Corner, where she combines humor with hard-hitting facts to educate the public about how their food reaches their plate. Whether it’s through street interviews, disruptive art activism, plant-based food outreach, filmmaking, or pressure campaigns, Jamie is committed to using every tool at her disposal to fight for animals and raise awareness.

Dr. Lisa Kemmerer

Founder of Tapestry

Dr. Lisa Kemmerer is an internationally recognized scholar-activist in animal ethics, environmental ethics, and religion. A former Professor of Philosophy and Religious Studies, she retired in 2020 to found Tapestry, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing a vegan world through research, education, field initiatives, and the arts. Over two decades in academia, Dr. Kemmerer authored 13 influential books, including Vegan Ethics: AMORE, Animals and World Religions (the only comprehensive study of animal ethics across major world religions), Eating Earth (linking environmental sustainability to dietary choice), and Oppressive Liberation (documenting sexism in animal activism). Her works are foundational texts in animal ethics, intersectionality, and environmental justice, and have been translated internationally. As a speaker and collaborator, she has presented worldwide, engaging activists, scholars, policymakers, and faith leaders. Her fieldwork spans wildlife conservation in Kenya, endangered species protection in Peru, and sanctuary ethics in Cambodia. Through Tapestry, Dr. Kemmerer leads initiatives such as the Hospitality Challenge, expanding vegan food access, and the Animals and World Religions Project, making decades of research freely accessible. Her career continues to shape global discourse on ethics, faith, and justice for all beings and the planet.

Dr. Gladys Kalema-Zikusoka

Founder of Conservation Through Public Health (CTPH)

Dr. Gladys Kalema-Zikusoka is a trailblazing wildlife veterinarian and founder of Conservation Through Public Health (CTPH), an award-winning NGO protecting endangered gorillas through a One Health approach that links wildlife conservation with human and animal health. She became Uganda Wildlife Authority’s first-ever veterinarian in 1996 and later founded Gorilla Conservation Coffee to support farmers living around gorilla habitats. Her global leadership has earned her numerous accolades including the United Nations Environment Program Champions of the Earth Laureate in the Science and Innovation Category., Whitley Gold Award, Sierra Club EarthCare Award, and the Edinburgh Medal for Science and Humanity. She was named one of the BBC 100 Women in Climate in 2023 and is a National Geographic Explorer, Ashoka Fellow, and WHO SAGO Scientific Advisor. In 2024, she received the African Primatological Society Lifetime Achievement Award and was featured on CNN’s Call to Earth and CBS’s Hidden Uganda. She currently serves as Chairperson of the Explorers Club Africa Chapter, Vice President of the African Primatological Society, and is a leader in multiple international One Health and conservation networks. She is the author and co-author of 2 books and over 60 papers and book chapters. Her most recent book was published in 2023, a memoir “Walking with Gorillas: the Journey of an African Wildlife Vet, about her conservation and leadership journey shaped by One Health.
